BRIELLE
Technically, I’m not a stripper. As a cage dancer, I don’t take all my clothes off and no one gets to touch me. I’m just the eye candy.
And I can feel their eyes on me. I know they’re watching, but I don’t do this for them.
This is my time.
My life may not have turned out the way I thought it would, but I’m not complaining. From 9pm to 1am several days a week I get paid to feel sexy, to feel desired, to do what I love.
I always knew I wanted to be a dancer—I just didn’t realize I’d be doing it in a cage.
COLTON
Erectile dysfunction—two words that can cause a collective cringe from men everywhere. The doctors can call it ‘performance anxiety’ all they want, but that’s just a fancy way of saying my d*ck doesn’t work.
Just when I start to think there’s no hope for me, I see her. She’s gorgeous, sexy, and goofy as f*ck. She also looks really familiar but I can’t put my finger on it.
When I find out who she really is, my world is turned upside down and everything seems to fall into place.
She’s not gonna make it easy for me, but I’ve never been one to back down from a challenge. She’s convinced I won’t stick around.
I’ll prove her wrong.
I’ll show her I’m one of the good guys.
Although Dancer is the second book in the Good Guys series, it can be enjoyed as a standalone.
DANCER A Good Guys Novel edition by Jamie Schlosser Literature Fiction eBooks
Not so long ago I discovered this ‘new’ writer Jamie Schlosser by reading the book ‘Trucker’ (the first book of ‘The good guys’ series). I totally felt in love with the book so I decided to read the second book of the series, ‘Dancer’. I must confess that I started this book with mixed feeling because although one part of me was very excited to read another book of this writer, another part was worried that I wouldn’t love this book as much as the first book. But sometimes you’re lucky and you love the second book even more then the first book and that was the case with this book!Colton and Brielle were best friends when they were children but when Colton and his father moved away, Brielle and Colton lost contact with each other. Brielle was heartbroken by it.
So you can imagine her surprise when she meets Colton again many years later. Sadly, he doesn’t recognize her. Brielle doesn’t know what to do because the young boy that she knew has changed into a handsome guy, a guy that looks at her with desire in his eyes. So Brielle decides to not tell Colton about their shared past. Something that Colton isn’t happy about when he discovers the truth. But it does explain the connection he feels with Brielle.
Because of her past, Brielle has a hard time believing that a good guy like Colton would want her. And the fact that she’s a single mother makes dating a little bit harder. Brielle loves her daughter Ava very much but she knows that most young guys aren’t ready for a single mother and a sweet little girl. But Brielle underestimated Colton’s feelings not only for her but also for her little daughter Ava. And Colton will show Brielle in every way possible that he’s not only her best friend but also the right guy for her and her daughter.
I totally fell in love with this story! I just loved Colton, Brielle and little Ava!
I don’t know how Jamie Schlosser does it but her good guys are just as sexy and hot as any ‘bad’ boy that I have read. And I think that’s just wonderful.
The book is told from both POV’s. You don’t have to read the first book to read this one.
I’m soooo looking forward to reading the next book in this series!

DANCER A Good Guys Novel edition by Jamie Schlosser Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This book had my heart. These two *shake my head*. So, so sweet. They were best friends when they were little and then he moved away. Ellie always knew he was the one, even at a young age, but it broke her heart when he moved away and they lost contact.
Fast forward, he sees her and is so smitten with her....their chemistry is off the charts. They have an amazing night together in which she knows it's him, but he doesn't realize it's her. He keeps pursuing her and their relationship falls in sync. She does have a little girl that he adores.....the way he is with her is what stole my heart, pretty sure it was an ovary overload for me....just sayin. “As her thumb slowly rubbed back and forth, my heart cracked open and I did something I hadn’t done since my mother died—I cried. A lone tear glided down my right cheek as I blinked quickly, trying to get my eyes to dry up before anyone could witness it. Oblivious to my emotional meltdown, Ava sighed wistfully. “I yuv you sixty-seven pounds.” The first tear that fell was quickly followed by another, and I discreetly wiped them away and cleared my throat. “I love you, too, Bug.”....see swoon.
Damn I love this series. Jamie Schlosser is such a great writer I'm trying to figure out how I managed this long without her wonderful books. So wonderful, they make my heart happy *sigh*.
The blurb drew me to this book, but the story completely blew me away!
We met Colton in Trucker, but barely made his acquaintance. In DANCER, we get the nitty-gritty on Travis's best friend. And oh my goodness, just when I didn't think Ms. Schlosser could make me love this series any more than I already do, she proved me WRONG. This is one of the rare occasions when I'm *glad* to be wrong.
The story opens as Colton struggles to make sense of why a virile young guy like him is suffering from ED. He resents the little vial of blue pills the doctor gave him and decides to drown his sorrows in suds with his friends at a club. While there, a cage dancer catches his eye. As she gets her groove on with gusto, a certain *ahem* appendage heartily approves of her moves and makes one of its own, much to Colton's relief.
Something about the beautiful dancer seems familiar. This irks Colton a bit, but he's so happy to not have a malfunctioning member that he shrugs off the deja vu and decides to pursue her. He waits until she's out on the dance floor and then gives her a show of his own.
Brielle gets the second biggest shock of her life when she realizes the hot guy who engaged in a five-alarm grindfest with her is none other than her childhood best friend who moved away years ago. The sweet little boy she loved and lost is now a sexy man who seems all too happy to have found her. The only problem is that he doesn't realize exactly who he found. As Bree tries to figure out how to reveal her true identity, the attraction between her and Colton skyrockets off the charts, culminating in a reunion that gives her wildest dreams a run for their money.
As always, the truth refuses to be contained. After it comes out, Colton chooses to embrace this strange twist of fate rather than let anger or resentment spoil it. In doing so, he not only opens his heart to one woman, but two upon learning that Bree has a daughter. He gets twice the laughter and twice the happiness when he falls hard for both young ladies.
When Bree's misgivings about what a future with her and her daughter will mean for Colton grow too strong to ignore, insecurity rears its ugly head and causes her to push him away, even though deep down she never wants to let him go. It's up to Colton to show her that he's a good guy who won't take no for answer, even if it means facing a future he didn't think was in the cards for him.
This is Ms. Schlosser's third novel, and I truly believe her already sharp writing skills improve with each release. Her ability to blend heart, humor, and heat continues to hit new levels of expertise that some so-called "seasoned" writers have yet to attain. She is now one of my go-to authors. I'll be over here impatiently tapping my foot while eagerly awaiting the next installment of this series.
