What a wonderful story of how great love can be when you have second chances! This is the story of Murphy and Heidi, who have had a forbidden love because Murphy is 8 years older than Heidi and Heidi is underage. Murphy waits until Heidi is 18 but things back fire because Murphy has been a manwhore while waiting for Heidi to be legal. What complicates things is Heidi is Teller's little sister, and Teller and Murphy are best friends since childhood. Heidi has a high school boyfriend, Axle, so we have love triangles and overly protective big brothers, and the age difference as obstacles to their love.

In the reviews there is a lot of talk about whether readers are Team Axel or Team Murphy. Initially I was neither bc I thought Heidi was too young to be in a serious relationship with anyone. She and Axel end up getting married for all the wrong reasons, and the author does an excellent job depicting what can happen when two young people love each other but are too immature to be married. I won't give it away but I think Heidi ends up being with the person who is her soul mate. Love this series, each book gets better and I love the way we get to visit with the characters from prior books. We get to see the whole club maturing as they each settle down with their lady loves!

I first read about Murphy in first book, Rock's story.... I really like Murphy!!!! His love for Heidi was amazing, even though she sometimes got on my nerves with how childish she would behave...but she grew on me and became the person Murphy needed. Such a well told story I'm loving all the books so far...I have to say that this series has been one of the best MC stories that I have ever read, so thank you very much!!!
I absolutely loved Miles. Heidi drove me nuts. The choices that she made really upset me. I know she had to do what she did for a reason. The frustration I had with her. And Axel. What an idiot. I loved that Miles was always there for her. No matter the age difference. Miles has to be one of my favorites. Heidi I grew to love. Autumn has a way with her words that suck you in and takes you away from reality. Loved this book.
I’m going to be very vague on things because again …. You really need to experience every moment as it happens. Autumn Jones Lake is one of the most talented story tellers I have had the pleasure of reading. She amazes me so much, I started a blog in Facebook, dedicated to MC authors and their books. After I read Slow Burn, I was awake for the next 24 hours reading the series to catch up. This is my go to series, when I can’t decide what to read. I have literally read each of these books at the minimum of 4 times each.

This book captured me for the very first word, and I experienced every emotion possible reading it. This is and always will be my favorite MC series.
I chose this rating because this was a really great book. I really enjoyed all the characters, they are very protective of each other. Well the MC romance has some happy and some sad moments. I really loved the way the guys are so very protective of there ladies. Heidi and Blake had to go through a heck of a lot to finally get together. This book will make you think twice about always assuming things will always turn out the way you want. This was a really great book. Great read. I recommend this book to all readers romance or not.

Heidi & Murphy have been dancing around one another for most of the series. But they’ve always been just outside the bounds of more, standing on the cusp of what could be. And while Heidi was willing to take that step, Murphy held back because of her age & because he’s best friends with her brother, Teller.

Heidi, being a young girl, growing into a young woman had no problem finding a boyfriend. Axel even prospected for the Lost Kings because of his love for Heidi and knowing they were her family. But he heart is torn in two, with parts belonging to both Murphy and Axel.
I want to start by saying I think this is my favorite MC series. It sucks me in every time I start a new book. Though with this one it was a love hate relationship. Not because it wasn't good, it was too good. The angst sucked me in and I would need a break. More Than Miles had all the feels, all the angst and I kept thinking how is Autumn going to turn this around for Murphy. My heart went out to him. I so wanted him to get his HEA, but I could understand why he was in his current situation with Heidi. I never wanted this book to end. I mean I kind of did only because I wanted to read White Knuckles so I could get my next Wrath & Trinity fix, lol. I can't say enough how good this book was and I can't wait for another and another. I know I didn't say much about the plot, but I don't want to give too much away because the journey is just too good to be spoiled.
